Jeff Tate is a small business owner, engineer-in-training, and longtime community volunteer with a proven record of service and leadership. He founded JAT Drafting LLC more than 20 years ago and brings deep experience in budgeting, infrastructure planning, and responsible capital investment.
Jeff has served on a town Budget Committee, School Board, and multiple long-term planning committees, where he focused on fiscal responsibility, fairness, and practical solutions that benefit the whole community.
Jeff and his wife, Holly, made Fountain Hills their full-time home four years ago after decades of visiting. Together, they raised two children and built a life grounded in service, accountability, and strong community values. Jeff is running for Town Council to bring respectful, results-focused leadership and help move the town forward.
Town Council should model professionalism, not partisanship. Jeff believes local government works best when people listen, collaborate, and treat each other with basic respect. Too often, council meetings have become combative and divided, distracting from the real work of serving residents. Jeff will: Promote respectful dialogue and collaboration Keep politics out of local decision-making Refocus the Council on residents — not parties or PACs Use “Call to the Public” as a meaningful tool to truly hear community concerns Because Fountain Hills deserves leadership that solves problems together — not fights. He understands that every tax dollar matters and that kicking problems down the road only costs more later. From roads and public safety equipment to parks and schools, smart planning protects both services and taxpayers. Jeff will: Support balanced, transparent budgets Plan ahead for infrastructure and equipment needs Prioritize maintenance and capital improvements Avoid unnecessary spending or short-term fixes His goal is simple: make decisions today that future generations will thank us for.

A healthy town is one where families thrive, schools stay strong, and businesses succeed year-round. Jeff wants Fountain Hills to remain a welcoming place for young families, retirees, and small businesses alike. He also recognizes the need to stabilize the local economy during slower summer months and keep our town vibrant all year. Jeff will: Encourage policies that attract and retain young families Support strong schools and community services Look for creative ways to support local businesses Focus on practical improvements that enhance daily life for residents Because strong communities aren’t built on national politics — they’re built locally, neighbor by neighbor.
